TITLE: Abandoned

Angel and Buffy walk out of the theatre with a stunned look on both their faces. As they walk down the street, Angel looks to Buffy and apologizes for his choice in films.
"I thought it was an art film, I didn't realize it was that kind of art film"
"That's ok Angel, by the title of the flick I'd thought the same thing."
They continued to walk and bumped into Faith on their way home. Faith had this look of pleasure on her face, though she didn't make it obvious.
"Hello love birds. Hey B, Wesley told me to go look for you."
Buffy looked at Faith and asked: "Patrol?"
"Yup, he thinks that there is some sorta evil lurking around. HA HA...like there isn't usually. What a dork. Anyway, we should go."
Buffy looks back at Angel with a sad smile and kisses him goodbye.
"Will I see you tonight?"
Angel smiles and says: "count on it."
The two slayers walk off into the night leaving Angel alone with his thoughts. As they walk through the cemetary, Faith hears something in the distance and stops. She asks if Buffy heard it too, and Buffy nods her head in agreement.
"I think we should check it out B."
Buffy responds, "I'm right behind you."
They find the source of the noise and corner it behind a headstone. They pounce on him and hold him up against the headstone. Faith takes a good look at their hostage.
"What the hell are you supposed to be?" she asks.
"I'm a demon, what does it look like? Anyways, can you let me down please?"
"Not so fast demon, why are you following us?" Faith questions, Holding her stake to his chest.
"I think I have something that you girls might be interested in. Have you slayers heard of the books of ascention?"
Both the girls look at each other as though they have no idea what this guy is talking about. Buffy then lets go her grip of the demon. Faith's hold remains strong.
"Faith, let him down. Ok, now, what are the books of ascention?" Buffy asks.
The demon gives an explaination that the books of ascention are powerful books that the Mayor would love to get his hands on. He then tells the slayers to meet him later to discuss a trade agreement for the books.
The three part company and go their own ways. Buffy heads back to the library where Giles, Willow, Wesley, Xander, and Oz are gathered. Buffy greets them with a hello and plants herself down next to Willow.
Giles turns to her and asks, "Find anything interesting tonight on your patrol?"
Buffy kinda giggles and responds, "Now that you mention it, there was this demon that claims to have these books that are called the books of ascention. Does that mean anything to you?"
Willow is quick to answer. "It is said that the books of ascention are texts that are thousands of years old, and that the ascention itself is an event that only happens once every century."
Everyone looks at Willow in astonishment. "What?? I read it in one of the books that Giles keeps in his desk that he doesn't want anyone to see."
"Any naked pictures in there Wil?" asks Xander.
"Nope, just magic secrets that Giles doesn't think I'm ready for."
Giles thinks for a minute then informs the group that this might be what the Mayor has been planing for.
"We have to get our hands on those books before the Mayor does."
"I'm on it."
And with that Buffy takes off.

Faith walks slowly into the mansion, and when she sees Angel stops where she is. She gazes at him withlust filled eyes.
"Faith, what are you doing here?"
"I didn't wanna be alone. I had nowhere else to go."
Angel motions for her to sit down next to him.
"Angel, I don't know what to do....I have this, rage in me. It's like, when you know that you want something, and it's almost in your reach, and then it gets yanked out from under you. Ya know what I mean?"
Angel sighs, "Yeah, I know that feeling. So is it that you want Faith?"
Faith looks into Angel's eyes. "I want something that Buffy has that I don't.....I want....I want you."
Angel is shocked by what he has just heard and can't think of any words to say to Faith. He just sits there in amazement. Faith moves closer to Angel, and rests her hand on his thigh. His gently pushes it off his leg.
"I'm with Buffy."
"I don't care, and I know that you won't either."
And with that she plants a hunger filled kiss on his mouth. Instead of fighting her off, Angel returns the kiss with as much lust. He picks her up and lies her down onto the floor in front of the fireplace. Both of their clothing quickly fall to the floor in a mad rush. The passion between them continues to rise.

Buffy tosses in her sleep while visions of the night she sent Angel to hell with Acathla plague her mind. She battles Angelus with swords until he stops and falls to his knees.
She can't shake the visions of Angelus from her head. And she awakes with a frightful start. She is terrorfied and soaked in sweat. She knows that her slayer dreams are trying to tell her something, but she doesn't know what. She lies in bed pondering the dream she just had.

Back at the mansion, Faith and Angel lie naked on the floor, completely spent. Angel looks at Faith lying
